The Institution Of Mechanical Engineers (India) is one of the oldest professional institutions in India established in 1914

IME is approved by Engineering Council of India.

Engineering Council of India (ECI)' is an apex body of engineering associations in India.

Eligibility for Admission to Examinations

T-ENG. LEVEL

Part I
A Pass in 10th Standard with English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with 6 months engineering work experience either as Trainee or Employee.

Part II
A Pass In 10+2 level examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or a pass in T. Eng, Part-I of the Institution’s examinations with 6 months work experience either as trainee or Employee.

No, IME institute is not AICTE approved institute but the IME India Technician Engineers exams are recognized by the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
