Germany having one of the oldest educational systems in the world, German degrees are held with high regard and they are recognized among several academic centers and employers. Here I am giving you all important details including eligibility criteria and procedure for MS in Germany. Recommended Scores: In Bachelors degree: 70% & above. In TOEFL/IELTS: IBT 79 & above/ 6.5(& above) overall with no less than 5.5 band in individual band scores. In GRE: 290+ Eligibility Criteria: Require a school leaving certificate or a secondary education qualification equivalent to that of Germany and it will be evaluated by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Federal State. Application Procedures: Students can directly submit their forms to universities; applications are available in international offices or from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). There is an organization called 'Assist' that helps foreign students settle into the environment. Application Requirements: A certified copy of the high school education certificate Translation into the German Language A passport-size photograph (4x5 cm) Bio-data with exact details about education Proof of proficiency in German Language A certified copy of assessment test taken Copy of passport International reply coupons once these documents are provided to the university, the university will evaluate it and send an admission letter along with a list of details to be submitted to the German Embassy. Scholarships and Grants: Several organizations in Germany offer financial support to first year students and doctoral candidates. Most universities give students an option of choosing from a wide range of majors and modules. Eligibility- The eligibility criteria may differ from university to university. General eligibility criteria is- Certification of Undergraduate study (Bachelor degree) in similar field If the course is completely in German, then proof of proficiency in German Language German as a Foreign Language Test (TestDaF) German Language Test for the Admission of Foreign study applicants (DSH) If the course is in English, then proof of proficiency in English – TOEFL (550 and higher (PBT), 213 and higher (CBT), 79 and higher (IBT) ) or IELTS 6.0 For bilingual courses, appropriate proof may be required Entrance qualification- For engineering courses, some universities may demand GRE For Business management courses, some universities may demand GMAT Some universities require the student to take entrance test either online or upon arrival at the campus Work Experience- Improved chances of admission if relevant work experience in the field of further study Application Procedures Students can directly submit their forms to universities.
