System Design & Management (SDM) is the MIT master's program in engineering and management.

It is jointly offered by MIT's School of Engineering and the MIT Sloan School of Management

Qualifications:
Candidates must either:

Have M.S. in engineering or equivalent degree and have at least three years of professional experience in a technical field, including some leadership experience;
OR
Have a B.S. degree in engineering or a hard science and have five or more years of professional engineering experience

Candidates should have experience contributing to a product or system development initiative and have had some responsibility as a group or team leader

Applicants must submit official transcripts of their undergraduate and graduate institutions from which they received their degree(s)

Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate proficiency in English.

SDM requires all such applicants to take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
