MHT CET organized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra for admissions into first year degree programs. It is the primary engineering entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria:
Interested students must have passed class XII or equivalent examination .
Interested students must be passed in 5 subjects at least in qualifying exam as well according to MHT CET 2014 .
Interested students who have passed with 4 subjects in 2012 or 2013 are eligible as well.
Only three max attempts are allowed for JEE Main 2014.

Exam Pattern:
Questions will be asked on maths, physics & chemistry.
Paper shall be conducted in online as well as offline mode.
No mark will be cut for unattempted question.
There shall be three sections of equal marks weightage.
For every wrong answer, ¼ mark will be deducted.
Questions will be of objective type where one correct option is to be selected from the given set.

The MHT-CET or Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. The degree courses of the following streams are mainly accounted for in the entrance exam:

Health Sciences

Pharmacy

MHT CET Eligibility
The candidate need to pass the SSC or equivalent examination from an institution situated in the State of Maharashtra

A candidate who has passed SSC or equivalent exam from an institute situated outside Maharashtra State and HSC or equivalent exam from within Maharashtra State is eligible for seeking admission to the courses in Health Science provided that one is Domicile of Maharashtra

MHT CET Syllabus
Reasoning and Numerical Ability
:
Geometry, (Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone etc.), Ratios and Proportion Percentages, In-equations Quadratic and linear equations Algebra Profit and Loss, Averages Percentages Time-Speed-Distance Work and time BODMAS Mensuration Allegation and Mixtures Work Simple Interest and Compound Interest Set Theory Probability Permutations and Combination Number system includes: HCF LCM Geometric Progression Arithmetic progression and mean Geometric mean Harmonic mean Median Mode and Number Base System.

Data Interpretation:
Column graphs Bar Graphs Line charts Pie Chart Graphs representing Area Venn diagram, etc.

English:
Poems Verbal Reasoning Analogies Antonyms Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences Sentence Correction Foreign language words used in English Sentence completion Sentence correction Odd man out Idioms One word substitution, Different usage of same word, etc.

MHT CET Paper Pattern
MHT CET is a multiple choice objective type test.
The duration given for completing paper will be 3 Hours. Total no. of questions to be answered is 200.
There shall be negative marking for wrong answers this year
The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu
