LLB(distance education) eligibility criteria.
I have passed +2 with 65% marks. Tell me whether I am eligible for LLB (distance education) in Kolkata or Pune or not?

LLB- Bachelor of Law. This course is not available in distance education or correspondence by any of the Indian Universities. If you have to pursue LLB then you have to do so in regular mode only. In distance mode some diploma and certification courses are available by IGNOU: Diploma in Para Legal Practice Post graduate diploma in Environmental Law Certificate in International Humanitarian Law Certificate in Co operative Law Certificate in anti Human Trafficking Their fees is Rs. 7000-8000 per year. Moreover if you have to do LLB in regular mode also then, firstly you have to do graduation in any stream from a recognised university as it is the minimum eligibility criteria of LLB that applicant must be a graduate with minimum 45% marks. Alternatively, as you are 12th passed you can do 5-year law course from any of the National Law Universities. For this you have to clear an exam CLAT. I am providing you with the details of CLAT below: Paper pattern: Total Marks : 200 Total number of questions : 200 Duration of examinations : Two Hours Subject areas with weightage: English including Comprehension : 40 Marks General Knowledge/ Current Affairs : 50 Marks Elementary Mathematics : 20 Marks (Numerical ability) Legal Aptitude : 50 Marks Logical Reasoning : 40 Marks Syllabus: English English Vocabulary Synonyms Antonyms Analogies English Proficiency Idioms And Phrases One Word Subsitution Sentence Improvement Rearrangement of Words in Sentence Rearrangement of Sentence in Paragrph Fill in The Blanks Cloze Tests English Usage Errors Common Errors Spotting Errors Inappropriate Usage of Words Spelling Mistakes (English Usage) English Comprehension Current Affairs Events of National and International importance. Also covering current events in area of Economics, Science, Technology, Sports, Persons and Places, Books and Authors Mathematics (Based on Mathematics upto class X) Arithmetic (Number Theory) Number Systems Surds and Indices Square Roots Fractions And Decimals H.C.F. And L.C.M. Simplification Approximations Ratio And Proportion Average Logarithms Commercial Maths Interest Percentage Profit And Loss Partnership Discounts Mensuration- Areas And Volumes Reasoning Reasoning Tests Direction and Distance Test Analogy Test Classification (Odd Man Out) Test Coding Decoding Test Number Test Series Test Relationships Test Alphabet Test Ranking Tests Time Sequence Test Logic Tests Statements Assumptions Statements Arguments Statements Conclusions Statements Action |

As you have asked about the LLB, I want to tell you that this course is not provided by any university through distance mode or correspondence mode. This is a full time course of 3 years and you have to take admission in the university or college to pursue it. However you can give CLAT to get admission to any law college.
