Re: Kannur University Grading

For a successful completion of a course and award of the degree, a student must score a minimum of C grade separately for Part I, Part II and Part III and CGPA of 1.5 or an overall grade of C for Part III.

In order to calculate the percentage of marks equivalent to CGPA/GPA the following formula shall be used.

Percentage of Marks = CGPA or GPA x 25

Accordingly the following Conversion table can be used.

Grade Range of CGPA Conversion Mark Range
(in Percentage)
C 1.50 to < 1.99 37.5 to < 50
C+ 2.00 to < 2.50 50 to < 62.50
B 2.50 to < 3.00 62.5 to < 75
B+ 3.00 to < 3.50 75 to < 87.50
A 3.50 to < 3.80 87.50 to 95
A+ 3.80 to 4.00 95 to 100
