Can you tell me about the Grades and Grade Points system acquired by K L Deemed to be University (Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation)?

At the end of all evaluation components based on the performance of the student, each student is awarded based on absolute grading system as acquired by K L Deemed to be University (Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation).

Grade Grade Points Range

O (Outstanding) 10 85 100
A+(Excellent) 9 80 <85
A(Very Good) 8 65 <80
B+(Good) 7 60 <65
B(Above Average) 6 50 <60
C(Average) 5 45 <50
P (Pass) 4 40 <45
F(Fail) 0 <40 -
Ab (Absent) 0 - -

In addition to the above grades, Students may also be awarded the below grades:

AB - Absent (If Student is absent for Semester end Theory / Laboratory Examination)
DT - Detained (If Student is detained due to lack of Internal Marks 40% (or) Attendance 75%)
NA - Not applied (Student eligible, but not applied for Semester end Examinations)
NR - Not Registered (Not registered for that Particular Course)
S - Satisfactory (for Audited Courses)
NS - Not Satisfactory (for Audited Courses)

Award of Degrees
1) CGPA between 4.5 to 5.5 will be awarded Pass Class
2) CGPA < 6.75 will be awarded Second Class
3) CGPA 6.75 will be awarded First Class
4) CGPA 7.5 will be awarded First Class with Distinction provided the student has cleared all the courses in first attempt, and must have fulfilled all the program requirements in 4 years duration.
