The prime object of Agricultural Meteorology Division, India Meteorological Department (IMD) is to minimize the effect of unfavourable climate on harvests and to make utilization of yield climate connections to support agrarian creation.

Association

The Director General of Meteorology is the Head of the India Meteorological Department with headquarter at New Delhi. The Agricultural Meteorology Division is working under his immediate supervision.
