Indian Institute Of Science Distance Education Phd
Does Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore offer Ph.D. Programme through distance education mode? If yes, I want to join Ph.D. (Computer Science and Automation) (CSA) through distance mode . Please tell me what are the Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process for this Programme?

Here I am giving you the requirement other then education qualification and other details for Phd program from Indian Institute Of Science REQUIREMENTS 1 Experience Applicant Should have completed full time employment of two years service as on 1st August 2015 in the current organization. 2. Organization/Institution Organisation/Institution must have atleast 5 years of its existence for sponsoring Applicant to ERP programme. Only persons engaged in R & D work in Technical / Scientific Institutions/ Industries or R & D Establishmentsare eligible. The Organization should have adequate facilities for carrying out research. 3. Age No age restriction for the Engineering/Science faculty members of Colleges/ Universities recognized by appropriate government agencies to pursue research degrees in Science / Engineering. 4. Sponsorship Unconditional sponsorship by the employer is essential. This sponsorship should be complete in all respects as per the Institute requirements and should be obtained at the time of submitting the application itself. 5 (a). Joint Research Supervisor (for candidates from R&D Organization/Industries) should identify a Joint Research Supervisor from the sponsoring organization (who must be a permanent staff member) who satisfies the following requir Admission Applicant admitted to the program must continue to remain in the same organization and place of work until the research work is completed Applicant once registered will not be permitted to retain the registration in case he/she goes abroad unless he/she completes the course work and the Comprehensive Examination/General Test. Applicant shall invariably obtain prior permission from the Institute before they go abroad as part of their work. 8. Residence condition The candidate is required to spend at least 8 weeks for consultation and interaction with the research supervisor at the Institute and submit a certificate to this effect. Report of Progress Applicant should submit a report of progress of work done through the research supervisors from IISc and the organisation at the end of Selection Criteria The short-listed eligible candidates will be called for an interview between 1 and 5th June 2015. The final selection is based on the performance of the candidate in the interview. Interview selection Applicants will be short-listed based on their academic performance including the qualifying examinations like GATE/ CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/UGC NET for JRF/ DBT JRF/ICMR JRF/ JEST/ NBHM or any other National Entrance Test (if qualified). |
