As you want I am here giving you tips for preparation for Indian Forest Service , that are given/used by the toppers of the IFS exam to crack the exam.

Tips for preparation:

First of all collect study material for IFS exam .

Manage time to study for each subject .

Know the paper pattern.

Devote most of the time for study .

Use of text books to study in detail .

Read Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and general knowledge books’

Work on perking up your proficiency in the English language

It is important to go through previous year question papers.


Examination Pattern:

The written examination is conducted in the month of April.

Candidates are required to attempt both Subjective and Objective type questions.

The entire question paper is divided into two sections, consisting of questions related to English, General Knowledge and Technical subjects.

The exam is of three hour duration. Candidates are required to attempt questions from all the sections, including the technical part.

Candidate should also select two optional subjects from the following list:

• Agriculture

• Forestry

• Mathematics

• Geology

• Statistics

• Physics

• Mechanical Engineering

• Agricultural

• Civil Engineering

• Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
