About Indian forest service
what is the eligibility needed to apply for the Indian forest service exams ? will you please tell me from where I can download the application form for applying for the Indian forest service exams? also give me the link for the syllabus and the last year question paper of the IFS exams?

The UPSC conducts IFS exam every year to select candidates for the Indian forest services. It is one of the three All India Services just like IAS and IPS services Eligibility Age Limit A candidate should be between 21years to 32 years. Nationality A candidate should be an Indian citizen. The candidates of Nepal or Bhutan are also eligible for the exam. The candidates from Tibet who have migrated to India as a refugee before 1st January 1962 are also eligible for the exam. Educational Qualifications A candidate should have done Bachelors from a recognized University. Or else, if he/ she has obtained the Bachelors degree from an institution, then it should be recognized under the UGC act section 3, 1956. A candidate should possess Bachelors degree in the following subjects Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Forestry Botany, Geology, Mathematics, Geology, Physics, Zoology Engineering. Examination Pattern Preliminary Exam Number of question papers 2, Paper-1 and Paper-2 Type of questions Objective type Total marks 400 marks. Paper-1-200 marks Paper-2- 200 marks. Duration of the exam 2 hours for each paper. For blind candidates, an extra of 20 minutes will be given. The language of the exam Hindi as well as English. Scheme of negative marking Yes. For every incorrect response, 1/3rd marks will be deducted. The Indian Forest Service is one of the Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC is conducted IFS exam for the recruitment officers at the All India level by the Government of India for the scientific management of its forests. The IFS is one of the three All India Services. The exam is conducted for recruitment to forestry services of India. The other two All India Services being Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). Indian Forest Service is one of the Civil Services of India and belongs to the apex All India Services group.
