How can I prepare for Income Tax Department exam and what are the Eligibility criteria for this exam?

As tax is one of the main incomes of the Indian government, the duty of an income tax officer or ITO is to collect tax from the citizens of India. An income tax officer is someone who deals with income tax matters concerning the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

Eligibility-

Educational qualification-

The candidate should be holding degree for Inspector Post along with data entry operating or should be metrics pass or any equivalent degree.

Age Criteria-
18 years to 27 years and the age relaxation is applicable as per the rules of Government.

Tips for preparation of this Exam-

Candidates who are appearing for the interview and examination must be prepared in topics like
General English
Basic arithmetic
General knowledge etc.

In addition to this, questions will be also asked on topics like
General policy
Geography and History.

Subjects like Economics and Scientific Research will also be included.

Candidates can prepare for the written exam by reading materials on the topic. They can also go for coaching in centers nearby. Solve the previous year question paper.

At the time of the interview, the candidates must make sure that they answer to the point.
