The Indian Institute of Technology Madras or IIT-M is an autonomous public engineering and research institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

Eligibilty for Spot Admission in this Institute
The GATE qualified candidates who did not receive an offer for M.Tech. Admission at IIT Madras in the counselling rounds and who have already re-registered only will be eligible for getting shortlisted to attend the Spot Admission.

Preparation for Spot Round
Aspirant should prepared to do the following if they are offered admission in Spot Admission.
-After getting the SMS/Email, login to the M.Tech. Application Portal and make decision on the offer with payment by online process (Rs.17,399/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs.12,399/- for SC/ST candidates)
-Submit the original certificates and original GATE scorecard(if through GATE) and obtain the Admission Letter with Roll Number
-Use the SBI online facility for payment of Hostel Fees and Charges(Rs.20,150/-).

Spot Admission does not guarantee offer of admission
