Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for admission in B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Degree course offered by National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS)?

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) was established in 2005. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Eligibility for Admission

Admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Degree course is based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

a) The candidate for CLAT need to pass the Higher Secondary Certificate exam (10+2) or an exam recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 45 % marks.

b) Exemption up to 5% from the requirement of the minimum of 45% for the qualifying exam is given to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST). These categories are allowed to apply for CLAT if they do have not less than 40 % marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

c) The candidate shall not have completed 20 years of age. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PWD) shall not have completed 22 years of age.

d) Students who are appearing for the qualifying exam are allowed to appear for CLAT.
