IIT Kanpur HPC

My name is Amit Panchal. I want to know about new high performance computing (HPC) facility of IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kanpur. Can you provide me information about this tiopic?

I took admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IIK) Kanpur and from here doing engineering degree came to know about HPC Machine. Will you provide basic details about IIT Kanpur HPC along with details about HPC2013 machine also provide contact details?

Indian Institute of Technology (IIK) Kanpur is a public engineering institution located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act.

About HPC:

HPC Group is greatly facilitating high-end computation research in the insititute covering many areas of science and engineering.

The membership list is dynamic and it can be updated or expanded as and when required.

HPC2010 is a machine of 376 node - funded by DST, from which 368 nodes are serving as compute node. This machine had a rank of 369 in the top 500 list

HPC2013

HPC2013 was initially a machine of 781 nodes - acquired by IIT Kanpur. Another 120 nodes were added to it in 2013-2014. This machine had a rank of 118 in the top 500 in June, 2014.
