Re: IIT Joint Admission Test Details

Joint Admission Test is taken jointly by all the seven IITs to test the applicants for admission to courses like M.Sc., Dual Degree (M.Sc.-Ph.D.) and other post - bachelor degree programmes at IITs.


Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have obtained At least 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined).

Exam Pattern:-

Examination will be taken for the seven test papers, namely: Biological Sciences , Biotechnology , Chemistry , Geology , Mathematics , Mathematical Statistics and Physics

All seven test papers will be of fully objective type, with three different patterns of questions as follows:
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ):
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions:
For each NAT type question, the answer is a signed real number which needs to be entered using the virtual keypad on the monitor.

Important Dates:
Start of online registration: September 03, 2014
Last date for payment of fee through challan: September 30, 2014 (Tuesday)
End of online registration: October 09, 2014 (Thursday)
Date of JAM test 2015: February 08, 2015 (Sunday)
