Re: IIT Bombay Hostel Rules IIT Bombay Guest accommodation Procedure The maintenance team members are available to tend to accommodation requests after office hours. Guests would be charged Rs.150/- per day for their stay in the hostel room. Charge is only Rs. 50/- if they stay in the dormitory. Mattresses would be charged Rs.10/- per day if availed. Rules regarding accommodation should be strictly adhered to. Inmates encouraging unauthorised guests will be imposed heavy fines. All requests for accommodation on campus (hostels as well as in guest houses) have to go through the HCU (Hostel Coordination Unit). The application form available at the HCU has to be filled stating the reason for stay, duly signed by the supervisor/HOD. In case, someone wishes to visit from outside, then she can mail the HCU chairman and will be directed the next step accordingly. The only exception to this rule is if people are coming for conferences or other institute events, where the organizers themselves contact the HCU, get permission and pre-book the room for them. During office hours, the hall manager shall be contacted for accommodation requests. |
