I want to join the hostel of Sharda University (SU) so can you please tell me the rules and the facilities in the hostel of this University?

Sharda University (SU) is a leading educational institution based out of Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. The University is approved by UGC. It was established in 2008.

Sharda University (SU) Hostel-

in Sharda hostels, they ensure that the students feel at home, with the best amenities and comfort so that they want to put their hundred percent into their curricular and extracurricular engagements.

The hygienic environment in their hostel helps them keep good health

Letting them enjoy the little luxuries such as reading the newspapers while maintaining the essence of hostel living.

They provide them nutritious food, safe drinking water, round the clock water supply including water heating systems, etc.

Spacious rooms provide a comfortable setup to study.

Acoustics in hostel rooms are so designed as to avoid any noise disturbance from the road.

Part time help can be hired for washing, ironing and dusting of the rooms.

Discipline is necessary to maintain the safety and security of their students.

There are 24 hour security guards and a responsible warden assigned to every hostel.

2 Seater Rooms with attached toilets Rs. 1,60,000 per person, per annum
Single Seater Rooms Rs. 1,60,000 per person, per annum

Non-Air-conditioned Rooms

3 Seater Rooms Rs. 85,000 per person, per annum
2 Seater Rooms with attached toilets Rs. 1,05,000 per person, per annum
Single Seater Rooms Rs. 1,00,000 per person, per annum

ii. Mother Teresa Hostel (without attached Toilets) :

Earmarked for continuing students

Non-Air-conditioned Rooms-

iii. Indira Hostel :

Top three floors have been earmarked for freshers of MBBS and BDS programmes

8th & 9th floors have been earmarked for freshers of international students

Mandela Hostel-

Ground, 1st & 2nd floors in all the three wings ('A', 'B' & 'C') are Non-Air-condituined

All other floors are Air-condition

All rooms have attached toilets

Wing 'B' is earmarked primarily for freshers of MBBS & BDS programmes as well as international students.

Non-Air-conditioned-

2 seater rooms Rs.1,05,000 per person, per annum

Air-conditioned-

2 seater rooms Rs.1,70,000 per person, per annum

Note

The rooms will be allotted on first-come-first-serve basis after the payment of Hostel fee

A Security of Rs. 10,000/- will be charged from the students seeking Hostel Accommodation for the first time

Subject to availability of seats, the Hostel rooms may be allotted after the last date, on payment of Late fee @ 2% per month

Complimentary laundry service, 5.0 kg x 20 washes, shall be provided to all the Hostel residents

The students allotted non-air-conditioned rooms may install Room-coolers:

a. Payment of Electricity charges@ Rs. 3,000/-(rupees three thousand) per student

b. Room-Cooler should be as per specifications given by IHA department

A Refrigerator (maximum capacity 80 Liters) may be allowed on payment of electricity charges @ Rs. 3,000/- per term/semester
