Re: IIT admission criteria
In the order to get admission in the National Institutes of Technology you need to appear in an entrance examination which is known as Joint Entrance Exam. Here are the details of this examination: Required qualification: The applicant should have completed 12th physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects, with minimum 60% marks from any recognized board of India. Syllabus: Physics, technology and society, S I units, Fundamental and derived units. Least count, accuracy and precision of measuring instruments, Errors in measurement, Dimensions ofPhysical quantities, dimensional analysis and its applications Frame of reference. Motion in a straight line: Position-time graph, speed and velocity.Uniform and nonuniform motion, average speed and instantaneous velocity Uniformlyaccelerated motion, velocity-time, position-time graphs, relations for uniformlyaccelerated motion. Scalars and Vectors, Vector addition and Subtraction, Zero Vector,Scalar and Vector products, Unit Vector, Resolution of a Vector. Relative Velocity, Motion ina plane, Projectile Motion, Uniform Circular Motion Force and Inertia, Newton’s First Law of motion; Momentum, Newton’s Second Law ofmotion; Impulse; Newton’s Third Law of motion. Law of conservation of linear momentumand its applications, Equilibrium of concurrent forces. Static and Kinetic friction, laws offriction, rolling friction. Dynamics of uniform circular motion: Centripetal force and itsapplications. Here I am uploading a pdf file from where you can collect detailed information about the JEE, examination: Last edited by Arun Vats; 24th July 2014 at 12:13 PM. |
