What are the eligibility conditions required to meet to apply for the Phd course offered at Indira Gandhi National Open University ?

Indira Gandhi National Open University was established in the year 1985. It is located at Maidan Garhi, Delhi, India .

Duration:- The maximum duration of IGNOU PhD Programme is 5 years .

Eligibility:-

Applicants must have obtained a Master's Degree from any recognized university .

Other conditions for eligibility:

(a) The minimum marks required is 55% at post graduation level (50% in case of reserved categories)

(b) Aspirants must have qualify the exam conducted by the University at the national level on pattern of UGC/CSIR.

Applicants having MPhil degree or those have cleared JEST of DAE or UGC- NET or GATE of IIT are exempted from appearing for the entrance exam.

Tentative Dates :

Last date for submission of application form: third week of January 2016.

Date of entrance exam: third week of February 2016
