Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme


Tentaive Dates:
Last date for submission of application form: mid of July , 2015

Date of entrance exam: third week of August , 2015.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should have a UGC recognised bachelor's degree or a higher degree with 50 percent marks from a recognized university.

Serving teachers with two years full time teaching experience in a Government or Government Recognized Primary/Sec/Sr. Sec School with registration number can also apply.

The requisite teaching experience of 2 years

Selection Procedure:
Applicants will have to clear an entrance exam conducted by the university to get admission to the course.

Application Procedure
Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the official website of IGNOU and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs 1,050 in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi / city of Regional Centre.

Filled in applications must reach, the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068, by registered post/speed post.

Applicants can obtain the student handbook and prospectus from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 or from any Regional Centre of IGNOU by sending a sum of Rs 1,050 through a Demand Draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi/city of Regional Centre concerned.

Applicants can also obtain the same by paying Rs 1,000 in cash at the respective sales counters.

Date of entrance exam: August 17, 2014.

Indira Gandhi National Open University invites applications for B.Ed courses through the IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2015. This entrance examination is conducted every academic year in the month of August 2015.

All the eligible candidates of this entrance examination are offered admissions only in the B.Ed Training Colleges that have NCTE approval across India.

Tentative Important Dates

Online and Offline applications are available from the second week of June 2015.

The last date for submission of application form is the second week of July 2015.

Entrance exam date is in the 2nd week of August 2015.

Results will be published in the last week of August 2015.

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam Eligibility

Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduation or equivalent examination with not less than 50% of aggregate marks from a recognized university

Incase if the teachers are appointed before the commencement of NCTE regulations announced in March 2010 who scored 50% marks need not apply for the examination.

Candidates who served as teachers with experience of two years in full time either in a Government or Government Recognized School

Age Limit

Candidate’s age should be above 21 years.
