IES (Indian Engineering Services) IES (Indian Engineering Services) are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. Large number of candidates gives this exam for IES officers post. Eligibility for IES: Nationality: candidate must be citizen of India Age Limit: Minimum: 21 years Maximum: 30 years Educational Qualifications: For admission to the examination, a candidate must have any one of the following: ● Engineering degree from a recognized University ● passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers ● obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University College and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government ● passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers ● passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society. ● passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers. Engineering Services Categories in which recruitment is made through the Examination are following: i. Civil Engineering ii. Mechanical Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Eligibility for Engineering Services: Age-limits: 21-30 years Educational Qualifications: • Engineering degree from a recognized university or equivalent • M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics Scheme of Examination: Written Examination Paper I (Objective type): General Ability Test (Part A: General English) (Part B: General Studies) Papers II & III (Objective type): Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering Papers IV & V (Conventional Type): Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Personality Test: 200 Marks |
