General Scholastic Aptitude Test Junior, Intermediate & Senior (GSAT) is a complete revision of previous group intelligence tests. Purpose--- Group Intelligence The General Scholastic Aptitude Test Junior, Intermediate & Senior is a group test determining developed general scholastic aptitude of South African learners. Age Eligibility : Series: Lowest Age - Highest Age Senior 13 years 0 months 18 years 11 months Junior 9 years 0 months 11 years 11 months Intermediate 11 years 0 months 14 years 11 months For older persons the norms for 18-year-olds may be used. Norms of the exam are given below : • the non-environmentally disadvantaged. • the combination of English and Afrikaans-speaking learners; and • Age norms: Norm scores have a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15 (IQ scale). • Standard norms: Standard groups serve as reference groups. Norm scores have a mean of 50 and a standard deviation of 10. |
