Genetics Calcutta University
I have done B.Sc course and I want to do M.Sc. Course in Genetics from Calcutta University so tell me the eligibility criteria for this course? Tell me the selection process for admission? Also provide me the course structure of M.Sc. Genetics of this University?

The Centre of Advanced Study for Cell and Chromosome Research, Department of Botany, Calcutta University offers M.Sc. Course in Genetics of duration 2 years. M.Sc. Course in Genetics Duration 2 years Intake - Presently 11 Eligibility criteria- B.Sc. Hons. in Anthropology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics or Physiology or its equiv. All the candidates should have Chemistry as one of the General subjects (except the candidates with Hons in Chemistry / Bio Chemistry) at the under Graduate level. The candidates with M.B.B.S./B.Sc. (Ag) are also eligible. All the candidates should have at least 50% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) and at least 60% marks in average in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or its equivalent. All the candidates, both C.U. and Non-C.U. (Both Category A & Category B) have to appear in the Entrance Test.
