Full Form of IAS Exam is Indian Administrative Service exam. IAS exam is the administrative civil service of the Government of India. This exam is conducted by Union Public service commission.

Eligibility :

Nationality:
Citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee

Candidate must hold a degree of any recognized University.

Age limit:
Minimum 21 years

Maximum Age limit:
General 32
OBC 32+3=35
SC/ST 32+5=37

IAS Exam by UPSC is conducted in 3 phases: Preliminary,
Mains
Interview.

IAS prelims paper pattern

Paper 1:
General Studies :
history, geography, polity, economics, IR & IS, ethics, integrity and aptitude science and technology and social issues.

Paper 2:
CSAT -Civil Services Aptitude Test
quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, data interpretation and decision making.

Mains Exam:

Paper A : Regional Language 300 marks.

Paper B : English 300 marks.

Paper 1 : Essay 250 marks.

Paper 2,3,4,5 : GS 250 marks each.

Paper 6,7 : Optionals 250 marks each.
