The Department of Architecture in Andhra University was established in 1989 at College of Engineering as a Division and acquired Departmental status in 2001, in keeping with the diverse scope of Architecture as the art and science of designing spaces and adding value to a meaningful, built environment.

Its vision is to train and educate the student to become successful professionals in the field of architecture, to sensitize them and make them responsive to their environment and society within which they have to create a sustainable built environment.
