Eligibility for IPS Officer

Please tell me what is the eligibility to become a IPS Officer as I am looking for the same ?

To become Indian Police Services Officer you have to qualify the written exams as well as the interview after the written exam conducted by the UPSC.

Eligibility for IPS Officer exam :

Qualification:
Applicant must possess a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification.

Applicant who are in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination .

Age:
21 years to 30 years

Nationality :
citizen of India, or
subject of Nepal, or
subject of Bhutan, or
Tibetan refugee

IPS Exam detail:
onsists of three phases
1) CSAT
2) Civil Services Mains
3) IPS Interview.

CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM 2015:-
Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY)
Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY

CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM 2015:-
Date of commencement of Examination:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY)
Duration of the Exam:- 5 DAYS
