As you want to get the details of eligibility criteria to become Crime Branch Officer so here it is for you:

I want to tell you that in order to become Crime Branch Officer you need to give the exam of Indian Police Service which is conducted by UPSC

Here for your reference I am giving you the eligibility criteria of IPS:

Nationality:

A candidate must be either :—
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:
Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed graduation form any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Number of Attempts:
General: 4
OBC: 7
SC and ST: No Limit

 No special preparation is required in this area. But some practice may be done from any exercise books or quantitative aptitude. In fact, an intelligent calculation is the basic requirement for this topic.

 Encyclopaedia of Indian Culture. A good library invariably has more than one encyclopaedia on Indian Art and Culture selected notes may be taken from it.

Current Affairs
 At least one major national newspaper – either The Times of India or The Hindu
 Newsweeklies like India Today or/and Outlook

As you want to appear in UPSC Crime Branch Officer exam to be Crime Branch Officer, so here I am giving bellow require info here :

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have completed your Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

You should have minimum 55% marks in Graduation.

For general Candidates age limits is 21 to 30 years.

For OBC Candidates age limit is 21 to 33 years.

Stages of selection:

Written Test.
Physical Test.
Interview.

Basic Skills Required for Crime Branch Officer:

*Excellent Communication Skills

*Pleasing Manner

*Should Have Knowledge On Current Happenings In The Society.

Exam Pattern-
It is divided into two parts. PART 1 and PART 2.

*PART 1

Duration-2 hrs.

Total Marks-200 (50 marks for each)

It includes-General Intelligence+Reasoning

General Awareness

Numerical Aptitudes

English Comprehension

*PART 2

Duration-4 hrs.

Total Marks-400 (100 marks for each)

It includes- Arithmetical Abilities (100 Question, 2 Hours)

English Language And Comprehension (200 Question,2 Hours)

*Interview: 100 Marks.
