Eligibility for AIIMS

My sister has completed MBBS Degree this year. She wants to do MD Course from AIIMS. So do you have any idea about eligibility criteria required to join AIIMS for MD Course? Is there any Entrance Test conducted by AIIMS for admission in MD Course?

The AIIMS is one of top and well known Medical Institutions in India.

The AIIMS was established in 1956 at Delhi.

Here I am giving details related to eligibility criteria for admission in MD Course for your referencce:

Eligibility Criteria:
Students must have MBBS Degree from recognized University or Institution for admission in MD Course.

Must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/ Practical training

Minimum marks required in MBBS Degree:
For candidates belonging to the SC/ST Categories 50% marks in aggregate
For all other categories including OBC Category 55% marks in aggregate
For OPH candidates the minimum aggregate as provided in (i) and (ii) for the category to which the candidate belongs shall apply.

Competetive Entrance Examination:
Duration: 3 Hours
Paper Pattern: Computer Based Test (CBT)
The Exam will be held in 24 cities in India.
Total Questions: 200 (Two hundred) Objective Type (Multiple Choice type) questions

Subjects:
The entrance test for MD/MS will consist of multiple choice questions covering all the subjects taught at M.B.B.S. level

Scheme of Marking:
Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark.
Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (minus-one-third).
No credit will be given for the questions not answered or marked for review (Questions marked for review shall be considered as unanswered.
Percentile scores are generated for the entire examination separately for MD /MS and MDS.
Language of Paper: English
Method of Cut-Off Percentile: 50th Percentile
Method of determining merit Overallmerit by ranking of Percentiles
Method of resolving ties Higher aggregate in all subjects in MBBS /BDS
