All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducted Post Graduate Entrance Examination for admission in MD/MS/MDS programmes

Eligibility for AIIMS PG Entrance exam

Applicants must possess a MBBS degree for MD/MS programmes from a university/institution recognized by Medical Council of India

Applicants must possess a BDS degree for MDS programme from a university/institution recognzed by Dental Council of India

Applicants must have completed or likely to complete their 12 months of rotating internship on or before April 30, 2017

Applicants who will complete their internship after April 30, 2017 are not eligible to apply for AIIMS PG 2017 July session

Applicants belonging to general and OBC category must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in MBBS programmes , while Applicants belonging to SC/ST must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Exam Pattern

Courses: It is conducted for 6 years MD/MS/M.Ch./DM/MDS courses for admission to AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur & Rishikesh.

Exam Mode: The entrance exam for 6 Years MD/MS/M.Ch./DM/MDS was held through online mode (Computer Based Test).

Subjects: For MD/MS, the entrance test was cover all the subjects of MBBS level and for MDS, the question paper was comprise the questions of BDS level.

Number of Questions: The entrance test for MD/MS was contain 200 questions. The entrance test of MDS was consist of 90 questions.

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions

Exam Duration: The duration of MD/MS entrance exam was 3 hours. The duration of MDS examination was 1 hours.

Exam Timings: Timings for MD/MS was 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and timings for MDS was 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Marking Scheme: For correct response 1 mark was awarded.

Negative Marking: For each wrong answer 1 3 marks was be deducted.
