Hello sir, after graduation Im preparing for Air Force Common Admission Test. I want to know that what eligibility criteria is needed for Air Force Common Admission Test?

The AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test is a recruitment examination organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The first cycle of recruitment of AFCAT has begun for the posts of Flying Branch & Ground Duty Staff.

The Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice usually in February and September every year for selection of Officers in various branches of the force including

Flying Branch (Short Service Commission)
Technical Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission)
Ground Duty Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission)

Start Date of Application 16th June 2018
Final Date of Application 15th July 2018

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Criteria:
Maximum Age 24 years
Current Pilot License Holders 26 years

Candidates under 25 years of age must be unmarried

Educational Qualification:
For Flying Branch: candidates should be 10+2 with minimum 60% OR
They should be having a Graduation degree with minimum 3 years aggregate 60%

Min Height : 162.5 cms with correlated weight
Min Vision : 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other

For Technical Aeronautical Engineering
Candidates should have at least 60% in Physics & Maths at 10+2 level.
They need to have a 4-year graduation degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% aggregate.
They need to have cleared Sec- A & Sec- B exam of AMIE or ASI.
They need to have cleared the Graduate membership exam of IETE.

Age Limit : 20 to 26 years
Min Height : 157.5 cms with correlated weight, women - 152 cms

For Ground branch:

Age Limit : 20 to 26 years
Min Height : 157.5 cms with correlated weight, women - 152 cms

Education:
Graduate degree (Min 3 years) in any discipline with min 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a min of 60% marks or equivalent.

Selection Process:

AFCAT selection process involves following steps:

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT - only for Technical branch)
AFSB Interview
Screening test
Psychological test, Group test, Medical Test and Interview
CPSS (Computerized Pilot Selection System) and/ or PABT only for Flying branch
