AFCAT examination holds once in a year for the selection of aspirants in the various branches of Indian Air force such as Flying Branch Ground Duty Branch Technical Branch Eligibility Criteria Eligibility for Flying Branch – Eligibility Min. height 162.5 cms Graduates in any discipline or BE / B Tech degree from a recognised University with at least 60% marks aggregated Eligibility for Technical Branches – (i) Educational Qualification – (a) For Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)} – 4 years of qualification from a recognized Institution or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Elec. and Telecomm. (b) For Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)} – the same procedure as mentioned above Eligibility for Ground Duty Branches – Educational Qualifications - Administration & Logistics Graduate Degree with at least 60% marks or a Post Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma with at least of 50% marks aggregated in any discipline of all papers put together. Accounts Graduate Degree in Commerce with a minimum of 60% marks or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together. Physical Standards Men Women Height 157.5 cms 152 cms Exam Pattern: Duration is of 2 hours. It is an objective type questions. The paper is of total 100 marks. Syllabus: Verbal Ability in English Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms (meanings of English words), Antonyms (opposite meanings of English words) and Vocabulary evaluation. General Awareness History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc. Numerical Ability Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest. Reasoning and Military Aptitude Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability. |
