CBI Eligibility Conditions

I want to join Central Bureau of Investigation. Will you please provides its eligibility conditions?

Central Bureau of Investigation is top most investigation agency in country.For getting into that candidates need to write entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility Criteria for CBI:
Students must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
Minimum 21 years of age.
The maximum age of Students which is allowed is 27 years.
Age relaxation is provided for the reserved categories.
5 years for the SC/ST Students
3 years for the OBC Students
The upper age is relaxable for certain categories of employees working under government of India and Defense Services Personnel.
Physical Requirements:
HEIGHT: For Male-165 cms.
For Female-150 cms.
CHEST: MALE- 76 cms.
No such requirement for females.
Good Eye Sight.


Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern is given below.
1.Preliminary Examination.
2.Main Examination.


But there are some courses like forensic science and criminology which are service provider to the CBI and other detecticve sector of government.
Forensic science is to answer questions of interest to a legal system.
Criminology is the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, and control of criminal behavior in both the individual and in society.
