DRDO exam age limit is here:

Age limit:
The upper age limit is 28 years

Maximum relaxation in upper age limit will be as under:-

i) Upto 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates

ii) Upto 03 years in case of OBC candidates

iii) Upto 05 years for Physically Handicapped Persons (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates) in identified disciplines even if no posts are reserved for them in these areas.

iv) In case of Ex-serviceman, services rendered in the armed forces plus 3 years

Selection procedure:

Defence Research Development Organization conducts Scientist Entry Test (SET).

Exam pattern;

There will be two sections in the exam having four choices to choose from per question.
The applicants should qualify in both the sections of the exam in the required merit to get selected in the concerned post.

Section A: Subject Specific Question

Section B: Aptitude for Applied Research & Development

There will be five major types of questions in the Section B of the concerned exam. This includes the following:

LR (Logical Reasoning) 10 Questions

Spatial Reasoning -10 Questions

Concept Formation- 10 Questions

Abstract Reasoning -10 Questions and

Numerical Reasoning -10 Questions

Total Number of Questions: 150

Total Marks Allotted: 500 (Section A Marks: 400 + Section B Marks: 100 (20 Marks per Section))

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Marking Criteria:

There will be an addition of 4 marks per question in case of Section A and 2 marks per question in case of Section B.

There will be a deduction of 1 mark in case of Section A and ½ marks in case of Section B respectively for the wrong questions attempted by the applicants respectively.
