University of Grants Commission New Delhi Conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) for post of lecturers , Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Here I am giving you information about required age limit to apply for University of Grants Commission New Delhi National Eligibility Test (NET)

Age limit:
Junior Research Fellowship
Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2014. (A relaxation upto 5 years to SC/ST/ PWD/OBC)

Assistant Professor
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Eligibility criteria to apply for UGC NET Exam:
You should have done master's degree in any discipline with 55% (50% for SC/ST) of marks from any recognized university by UGC.

Application fee structure for UGC NET Exam:
For general candidates: Rs 450 only
Other backward classes candidates: Rs 225 only
For SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs 110 only

The examination (UGC NET) is held twice a year, i.e. in the months of June and December

Tentative dates for National Eligibility Test (NET) for Dec session is as follows:
Last date to apply Online is on – End of Oct
Last date of submission of fee through online- First Week of Nov
Last date for receiving the printout of application form is on – 2nd Week of Nov
UGC NET Dec 2013 Exam will be held on: End of Dec
