The Diploma in Primary Education (DPE) is a Teacher Education Program for Primary School Teachers. The Program is of two years duration and has a modular approach consisting of the following three modules……

Eligibility;
Applicants must have Matric/HSC/+2 standard pass with minimum two years of teaching experience.

School of Education (SOE) is one of the first schools to be established in IGNOU in 1987. The functions of the SOE are to carry out academic activities addressing education as a field of knowledge and an area of practice.

SOE undertakes academic activities pertaining to two major areas: the various aspects of the practice of education as a profession and the various branches of education as an academic discipline.


As per my knowledge, School of Education under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) does not offer Diploma in Primary Education (DPE) Program. The courses offered by the School are as follows:
