Phase III Project DMRC

Phase-III includes 11 extensions to the existing lines as well as building two ring lines (Pink and Magenta lines). Phase-III has 28 underground stations, 2 new lines and 11 route extensions, totalling 167.27 km, with a cost of ₹350 billion (US$5.4 billion).[77] Phase 3 contains 3 new Lines in Delhi Metro System, Pink Line running on Inner Ring Road (Line 7), Magenta Line running on Outer Ring Road (Line 8) & Gray Line connecting Dwarka and Najafgarh (Line 09).

Working on the Phase III
Work on Phase III started in 2011,with 2016 being the planned deadline,[80] more than 20 tunnel boring machines were used simultaneously to expedite the work,[81] however, the actual work is planned to be completed by end of 2018, subject to availability of land in certain pockets
