Please tell me what the difference b/w group X and Y in IAF??????

As you want to know the difference b/w group X and Y in IAF so, here for you I am providing you the same.

Group "X":

This post is meant for the technical entry as in soldier, Officers, Pilots, Navigators in which candidate must have done his 12 compulsorily with Physics, Mathematics.

Group "Y":

This post is for the non-technical entry in which there is no such restriction for the candidate on the basis of his 12 stream, it is open for all the candidates.

Selection Process:

Selection would be on the basis of:

1. Eligibility Check
2. Written Test
3. Physical Fitness Test
4. Interview
5. Trade Allocation Test
6. Medical Examination
7. Announcement of Merit list
