Direct Second Year Engineering Admission Process
Can you tell me the process of taking admission in Direct Second Engineering (DSE) as my friend wants to take admission in it?

Eligibility for Direct Second Engineering (DSE) by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai Educational Qualification The Student must be an Indian National origin and must have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45.00 % marks in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from a recognized Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.. It is 40.00 % marks in case of students of backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State. OR The Student must be an Indian National and must have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with minimum 45.00% marks and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the core subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level. It is 40.00 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and person with Disabilities belonging only to Maharashtra State General Notes on Eligibility: Student passing SSC (Std. X)/ HSC (Std. XII) / any other equivalent examination and /or Diploma examination / B. Sc. examination as specified in rule 2.1 from a recognized institution situated outside the State of Maharashtra. AND Not satisfying any of the conditions stated above as regards to their parent's status are not eligible for admission through CAP and also in Govt./Govt. Aided/ Govt. Aided University Managed Institutes/ University departments for any subsequent institute level rounds. Female Students are not eligible for admission to Mining Engineering course, and the male candidates seeking Admission for this course must be free from colour blindness, defective vision and vision requiring correction with spectacles above power three dopers. Only female students shall be admitted in Engineering colleges and institutes which are reserved for women/girls. Admission of any student made at the Institution shall be provisional, subject to the final eligibility certification from the concerned University and the final approval to the admitted Candidates of Second Year Degree Engineering course by the DTE. If candidate fails to get Eligibility, his Admission may be cancelled at any stage. |
