Direct Admission in B.E 2nd year

Can you tell me in detail about the direct admission in B.E 2nd year for Diploma holders as I want to take admission in it?

As you have done Diploma so on account of this certificate you can definitely get direct admission in B.Tech 2nd year. It is known as lateral entry admission.

One can choose any branch of Engineering like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Computer science etc. in 2nd year. But as you have done diploma then it will be better to choose the same subject/ branch what you had in your diploma degree.

Direct Admission to B. Tech Second Year Qualification:

Diploma degree with minimum 60% marks in any branch Engineering/Technology is eligible for admission to Second year in any branch of Engineering/Technology.

Clear the Entrance Exam for admission in 2nd year.

After qualifying the entrance exam you can get the admission direct admissions in Second year of B.Tech colleges. The different streams available in Engineering are:
