DIPP exam for B. Tech Syllabus

I have completed B. Tech and now want to give DIPP exam so please give details about this exam including syllabus?

DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion) is for formulation and implementation of promotional and developmental measures for growth of the industrial sector.

Syllabus of DIPP’s patent agent exam:

Paper – I
(Patents Act and Rules)

Part A
Part A1: 30 marks
Part A2: 10 marks

Part B: 8 subjective type questions


Paper-II
(Drafting and interpretation of the patent specification and other documents)

Part-A: 40 marks

Part-B, of 60 marks
Part B1: Questions from drafting of claims and abstract from a given description of an invention.
Part B2: Question will relate to general engineering and Chemistry/life sciences.

Age Limit:
Maximum: 35 years

Pay scale:
15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/-

Educational Qualification:
Masters Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Bio-Technology/ Bio-Physics, OR Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology of a recognized University or equivalent.
