Ground Duty Branches:
After completing your post graduation, both men and women can enter any of following sub branches of the Ground Duty Branch:
Administrative
Accounts
Education
Logistics
Meteorological Branches on Permanent Commission (only for Men)
Short service Commission (both for men and women)

Eligibility criteria:
• Age - 20 to 25 years
• Marital Status - Single
• Nationality - Indian
• Gender - Applicable to both men and women.

Administrative Division:
Officer in the Administrative Department have to follow duties as an 'Air Traffic Controller' maintaining an orderly flow of traffic and airspace management or a 'Flight Controller.

Eligibility criteria:
M.B.A. or post graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a minimum score of 50%

Education Division:
Officer in the Education Branch will be responsible for the successful implementation of various educational programs organized at the Air Force bases.

Eligibility criteria:
M.B.A. or post graduate Diploma in Business Administration with minimum score of 50%

Logistics Division:

Officer in the logistics department will undertake material management of all Air Force resources. From clothing to aircraft equipment, ensure efficient supervision of inventories and availability of necessary items to all operators and users.

Eligibility criteria:
M.B.A. or post graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a minimum score of 50%.

One can be a part of Indian Air Force on the basis of graduation degree. MBA degree will help to provide some relaxation in age to get into ground duty of IAF.

One can be a part of Indian Army through CDS examination and their age criterion is 25 years old only. It is a graduate level examination, which is organized by UPSC twice in a year.

This exam consists of 3 sections-

1) Mathematics
2) English
3) General Knowledge

You can join Indian Air force as a part of fighting force as well as in technical branch also. But as you have done MBA, so you will not be allowed to become a pilot as its upper age is only 23 years.

For fighting forces one can enter through-

1) CDS examination
2) SSC (Short Service Commission)

For technical Branch, you can enter through-

1) CET
2) EKT
3) AFCAT

CDS exam is usually carried out in February and in September.
So keep a closed watch on employment newspaper of 2 months prior.
For air force, the paper of ground duty is out twice in a year around April and in October. So keep on checking newspaper and official site of both.

Syllabus

PAPER – 1: ENGLISH:

The question paper will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding of English and workmanlike use of words.

PAPER – 2: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:
General Knowledge including knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The Paper will also include questions on History of India and Geography of a nature which Candidate should be able to answer without special study.

PAPER – 3: ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS:
Arithmetic:Number System-Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers. Fundamental Operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Square roots, Decimal, fractions. Unitary method, time and distance, time and work, percentages, applications to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation.
