The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was started in 1960 as a center of excellence which would endeavour to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine.

Last time recruitment in Department of Pharmacology :-
Post: senior demonstrator (pharmacology)
Qualification: m.sc. (pharmacology) and ph.d. required In the subject concerned
Age: should be 33 years for general (relaxable by 5 years for sc/st and 3 years for obc)
Pay scale: as per PGI rules and regulations
Application duly completed and signed of the eligible candidates along with updated resume and attested copies of the testimonials by a gazetted officer, of qualifications held by them for above mentioned post, must reach in the office of department of pharmacology on or before last date .
