SLET is State Level Eligibility Test

Punjab State Level Eligibility Test (SLET):

SLET of Punjab state is conducted in Punjab for the candidates who want to become lecturer or assistant professor in various private and government colleges and universities of Punjab state.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have Master degree with at least 55% marks, for reserved category candidates have minimum 50% of marks

Candidates who are appearing in the last semester or waiting for their results of PG degree are also eligible for this test.

The date of SLET (State Level Eligibility Test) exam 2015 in Punjab is still to be announced. It is expected to be announced in mid of April 2015.

State Level Eligibility Test of Punjab state is conducted in Punjab for the applicants of SLET Punjab 2015.
Candidates wish to get the eligibility of becoming lecturer or assistant professor in various private and government colleges and universities of Punjab state.
Candidates can attend the exam even in their mother tongue but in default question paper will be set in English

Eligibility criteria followed in Punjab SLET:

Master degree candidates are allowed to take up the test, though they are appearing in the last semester or waiting for their results of PG degree.

Candidates need to complete their 3 years of master degree with minimum marks. Only with the qualification, they are able to get lectureship or professorship from the Punjab SLET examination

4 semesters or 2 years PG degree is strictly prohibited and so candidates of such qualification can better to get another 3 years PG degree to attain eligibility criteria of this exam

SLET exam qualify candidates become lecturer or assistant professor of all private and government colleges of Punjab so this is very important examination to them
Candidates of two different categories have the different minimum marks to get eligibility.

General category candidates must secure 55% of minimum marks in their PG graduation and special or reserved category candidates can just score 50% of minimum marks in their master degree examination.

Punjab SLET refers as Punjab State Level Eligibility Test or Punjab SET (State Eligibility Test). It is conducted by Punjab State for the appointment of Assistant Professor Post or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) post in the colleges and University of Punjab state

Last Date for Online Application Form: June 2019 (Tentative)

Entrance Exam Date: August 2019 (Tentative)

Admit Card: July/August 2019 (Tentative)



Eligibility Criteria Punjab SLET 2019:

One must have done Post Graduation in any discipline from a reputed college or university.

One must have secured marks not less than 55% in their Education.

Relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST category to apply for the Punjab SET Exam 2019.

One must have Punjab Domicile in order to receive Reservation benefits.


Paper Pattern
Pattern of the paper will be based on UGC-NET Exam

There will be three Papers:
Paper 1: Research and Teaching Aptitude
Paper 2 & Paper 3 will be based on the respective subject.


The Test will be conducted in an objective mode.
The Test will consist of three papers.
To evaluate the General Aptitude of the candidates, there will be one common paper (Paper-I) for all and it will contain 60 questions of 2 marks each, and the candidates will have to answer 50 questions only.
The Second and Third paper will be on the subject concerned.
The second paper will have 50 compulsory questions of 2 marks each.
For Third paper, there will be 75 compulsory questions of 2 marks each.
