Exam pattern
•Paper I is divided into two sections

Section A (General Intelligence and General Awarness)

This section consists of 100 objective type questions of one mark each with negative marking of 0.25 marks for a wrong answer

Section B (Language and Comprehension)

This section consists of 50 objective type questions of one mark each with negative marking of 0.25 marks for a wrong answer.

The total marks for Paper I is 150 and is to attempted in two hours and 30 minutes.

•Paper II will test candidates knowledge of domain

Eligibility
1. Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates including must possess an including CSIR departmental candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree of a recognized university in any discipline

2. Age limits
A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of minimum 30 years in the year he is taking the exam.

3. Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee

For Unreserved (UR) and OBC Category : Rs.500

For Women/SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen/CSIR Department Candidate: NIL
