Yes, You can join engineering colleges in Chennai as a lecturer after passing M.Sc and B.Ed course . after M.Sc and B.Ed course you have to passed State Eligibility Test or NET examination. Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India conducts State Eligibility Test (SET) to determine eligibility for lectureship for Indian Nationals in colleges of Tamil nadu state . ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS: You have to passed master level degree or PG degree course in respective stream from a well recognized university and you must obtained a minimum of 55 % marks in Master level degree course The Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Physically Challenged (PC) / Visually Challenged (VC) category candidates who have secured atleast 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's Degree Examination are eligible for this Examination. EXAMINATION FEE For General Candidate, the examination fee is Rs. 1000/-, for Other backward classes (OBC) the fee is Rs.750/- Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Physically Challenged / Visually Challenged Exam pattern : The Test will consist of three papers; Paper -I, Paper - II Paper -III, Paper I: This is compulsory for all and is meant to test research / teaching aptitude of the candidate. Paper II : Paper II will be of 1 1/4 hours duration. This paper will be for 100 Marks containing 50 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will cary 2 marks. Paper III : Paper III will be of 2 1/2 Hours duration for 150 marks and it will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry 2 Marks.
