Re: CGPA Calculator For GMAT

Few premier institutions like IITs, NITs have their own grading system. Students applying to universities outside India would be familiar with the GPA scale. GPA or Grade point average can be calculated on a 4-point, 7-point or 10-point scale. U.S. universities usually adopt a 4- point GPA scale.

One method of calculating your GPA as followed by the University of Chicago Booth School Of Business is demonstrated below.

Each of the grades are assigned grade points.

Grade Grade Points
A+ 4.33
A 4.00
A- 3.67
B+ 3.33
B 3.00
B- 2.67
C+ 2.33
C 2.00
C- 1.67
D+ 1.33
D 1.00

GPA Conversion Table:

4.0 Scale A-F 100-0 1-5 Four Passing Grades Three Passing Grades
4.0 A 90-100 1 Highest Passing Grade Highest Passing Grade
3.0-3.9 B 80-89 2 Second Highest Passing Grade Middle Passing Grade
2.0-2.9 C 70-79 3 Third Highest Passing Grade Lowest Passing Grade
1.0-1.9 D 60-69 4 Lowest Passing Grade Fail
0.0-0.9 F Below 60 5 Fail Fail
