Set up in the year 1992, the Department offers M.Sc., PG Diploma and Ph.D. programs in Biotechnology. To enlarge the base office and dynamic research, the individuals from the staff pull in extramural subsidizing from both national (UGC, DBT, DST, CSIR, AICTE and BRNS) and global (Rockefeller Foundation and Danish Government) organizations. Entrance Test M.Sc. Biotechnology Twenty Three understudies are conceded on legitimacy through the All India placement test led by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The understudies admitted to M.Sc Biotechnology program through JNU-DBT placement test get a cooperation @ Rs. 3,000/ - p.m. Incorporated M.Sc., Ph. D. in Biotechnology Nine understudies are conceded on legitimacy premise through the all India placement test led by Pondicherry University. The understudies conceded into Integrated Ph. D. program get a stipend of Rs. 1000/ - p.m. for four semesters (20 months) and Rs. 5000/ - p.m. for the time of next three years extendable by one more year. Ph.D. Biotechnology (Full-time) The Department offers a full time Ph.D. system and understudies are conceded taking into account the all India placement test led by the University. PG-Diploma in Biotechnology This is an Add-on course of two semester length of time offered amid night hours.
