Central Bureau of Investigation is topinvestigation agency in India .For getting into that students need to write entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility Criteria for CBI:
Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
Minimum 21 years of age.
The maximum age of applicants which is allowed is 27 years.
Age relaxation is provided for the reserved categories.
3 years for the OBC Students
5 years for the SC/ST candidates
The upper age is relaxable for certain categories of employees working under government of India and Defense Services Personnel.


Physical Requirements:
No such requirement for females.
CHEST: MALE- 76 cms.
Good Eye Sight.
HEIGHT: For Male-165 cms.
For Female-150 cms.


Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern is given below.
1.Preliminary Examination.
2.Main Examination.


Few other courses like forensic science and criminology which can be useful to get into the CBI and other detecticve sector of government.
Criminology is the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, and control of criminal behavior in both the individual and in society.
Forensic science is to answer questions of interest to a legal system.

Here are the Central Bureau of Investigation officer eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification
The applicant should have a Bachelor of any stream.

Age
The candidate must have attained the age of 20 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Physical Requirements

a. Height

i. For men -165cms.
ii. For women -150cms
Height relax able for Hillsmen and Tribals: 5cms

b. Chest:

76cms. with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

c.Vision:

Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
NearVision:0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye
