Calcutta University CSE

I have done my B.Tech and want to do M.Tech in CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) from Calcutta University. Can you tell me is there any entrance exam I have to give for this University for taking admission in M.Tech degree from here?

The University of Calcutta, informally known as Calcutta University, is a collegiate public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established on 24 January 1857, and was one of the first institutions in Asia to be established as a multidisciplinary and Western-style university.


History of the department :

It was Established in the year 1980, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, situated at Rajabazar Science College Campus, meant for post graduate studies is one of the largest and well established departments of Calcutta University. Very soon after its establishment, the department began to provide the intellectual foundations of Indian Technologies.


Special award/ recognition from UGC

The Department enjoyed two phases of the DRS and one of DSA under the UGC-SAP scheme; currently the 2nd phase of DSA is on.
The FIST programme of DST was implemented during 2005-2010.
The Department received support from the COSIST programme of UGC during 1991-1996.
